ItemDescriptionResolution
Part I
430 Petition Regarding Pedestrian Crossing Facilities - Kent Elms Junction
Resolved:

1. That the petition be noted.

2. That consideration be given to the provision of improved pedestrian facilities as part of the Kent Elms Junction improvement proposals.

Reason for Decision:
To formally accept the petition and ensure the views contained are considered as part of future junction improvement plans.

Other Options:
Options to provide pedestrian facilities without major alterations and adaptations to the junction are not possible within the current road layout. There is insufficient area to provide safe and appropriative crossing facilities without a major redesign of the junction and traffic signals.
